Hamari Pahchan NGO :Empowering Lives Through Impactful Initiatives

Hamari Pahchan NGO, hailed as one of the best NGOs in Delhi, has been a catalyst for change since its founding in 2015 by Tarun Mathur, a visionary social entrepreneur and international chess player. His belief in inspiring collective action against social challenges drives the organization’s mission to empower marginalized communities with dignity and self-reliance. Operating from New Delhi, Hamari Pahchan provides support for underprivileged individuals through initiatives in education, skill development, menstrual health, elderly welfare, animal rescue, environmental sustainability, and hunger eradication, impacting countless lives with a focus on building a self-sufficient society.

The Drishti Project addresses India’s literacy crisis, where 32 million children lack access to education, per the National Sample Survey Office. Through workshops on personality development, communication, and computing skills via the Gadgetshala initiative, Hamari Pahchan has educated over 22,500 children, equipping them for brighter futures. The Sukhad Project promotes menstrual health, distributing 20,000+ hygiene kits and raising awareness to empower women and break societal taboos. Skill development programs, rooted in the Vocal for Local initiative, train over 4,000 women in vocational skills like candle making and music, fostering financial independence with platforms to sell their products.

Hamari Pahchan creates social work opportunities in India through dynamic volunteer and internship programs. Success stories highlight the NGO’s transformative reach: one survivor of gender-based violence received legal, financial, and medical support, leading to the accused’s imprisonment. Another, Aunty Soni’s Journey, showcases a woman achieving financial stability through skill training. Since 2015, the NGO has provided 50,000+ meals, supported 500+ elderly individuals, rescued 350+ strays, and planted 10,000+ trees, reflecting Tarun Mathur’s vision of social entrepreneurship.
